CAN I KEEP MY HOUSE?
A Chapter 13 payment plan bankruptcy is likely the best option if you want to keep your home and stop foreclosure. You can only keep your home with a a Chapter 7 bankruptcy if you are able to get current with your mortgage payments.
WHAT DEBTS CAN I GET RID OF WITH BANKRUPTCY?
You can discharge most (or all) unsecured debts with Chapter 7 liquidation bankruptcy. This includes credit card debt, medical debt and personal loan debt. It does not include student loans or domestic obligations (such as child support or spousal maintenance).
